Frequently Asked Questions

As an Amazon Associate, Nawa 3D earns from qualifying purchases.

What is this site?

Nawa 3D is a free price comparison tool for FDM 3D printing filaments. The catalogue covers several thousand products sold on Amazon France, Germany, and the United States, as well as the Prusa store. Prices are automatically fetched every 4 hours. The price per kg is automatically calculated for each product, regardless of spool size.

How do I change the language and the store?

Two independent controls sit in the top bar. The language switcher (EN / FR / DE) changes the interface and content language only. The store/region — which Amazon catalogue and currency you compare (France, Germany, United States) — is chosen from the Comparators menu and is remembered separately. This means you can browse the site in English while comparing prices on Amazon France, for example. Language URLs follow the pattern /en/, /fr/, or /de/.

How do I use the filters?

The left panel lets you filter by material, brand, color, weight, diameter, price, price per kg, availability, rating, and product type (packs). A single click on a value includes it in the results. A right-click (or long press on mobile) excludes it. All active filters are reflected in the URL — copy and paste the address to share a specific selection.

Are the links affiliate links?

Yes. We participate in the Amazon Associates program. When you click a product link and make a purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the service free and updated.

How accurate are the prices?

Prices are automatically fetched from Amazon every 4 hours. They reflect the listed price at the time of the last update and may differ from the current Amazon price due to promotions, coupons, or stock changes. Always verify the current price on Amazon before purchasing.

A price or product detail looks wrong?

We do our best to correctly categorise every product, but mistakes can happen (wrong material, color, or weight). Always verify the price and specifications on the Amazon product page before purchasing. To report an error, click the flag icon (🚩) to the right of the product in the table, or email us.

What is the MCP server?

The MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf query the filament catalogue directly. Connect your AI assistant to the following endpoint to search filaments, compare prices across stores, and retrieve product details:

https://nawa3d.com/mcp → MCP

What is the AI assistant?

The home page features an AI assistant: describe what you are looking for in plain language (for example "a cheap matte black PLA for miniatures") and it suggests suitable filaments, then opens the comparison tool pre-filtered to your request. It only answers 3D-printing and filament questions, and it relies on the same catalogue data shown across the site.

A brand is missing. How can I contact you?

We have no partnerships with filament brands and do not promote any of them. If a brand or product is missing from the catalogue, feel free to reach out — we will add it if possible:
